A family company in Riverside
OctoClean is customer first.
We're a team of professionals delivering janitorial cleaning and hospital housekeeping at the highest standard we can reach. We get there by listening to our customers' concerns and proposing solutions they approve and agree to. Our committed franchisees and team members deliver that service through a sustainable business plan, because when the right plan is executed consistently, relationships can flourish and everyone gets a chance to reach their goals.
The same idea runs the whole company: one central team in Riverside, and local owners doing the work in your building. If you are weighing a different path, you can also read about owning an OctoClean franchise, or see the industries we clean for.
Our history
Where we've been and where we're going.
Chuck and Yvonne Stowe, with their three sons, started Service Pros in 1991, and OctoClean has since grown to more than 60 franchises in Southern California and Arizona. Their determination to change the janitorial industry has not moved, and they have helped dozens of entrepreneurs build businesses of their own.
1991
With their three sons, Chuck and Yvonne Stowe began a janitorial company called Service Pros in 1991. Yvonne's mother, Peggy Rose, drew an octopus with a cleaning tool in each tentacle and named him Sammy. The name stuck, and Sammy became the company logo.
2000
The family spent years building a team and developing systems that work. With Service Pros thriving, the Stowes moved to a large scale franchising model. OctoClean was born in November 2000 with 12 franchises, and Sammy turned green with an updated look.
2003
Sammy was redrawn again, more streamlined, with the cleaning tools removed. It marked a stretch of rapid growth. Process creation, matched with emerging technology, let OctoClean serve clients and franchisees well at the same time. The family calls it the age of process.
2019
Sixteen years later, a new and simpler Sammy arrived, built around customer relationships and better cleaning technology. He is the brand logo and mascot, and the idea behind our values: one center, many capable arms.
Riverside, the place we call home.
Once the heart of California's orange grove industry, Riverside has developed into a thriving community, a City of Arts & Innovation. We embrace the meaning of community here. Cleaning is what we do; connecting with people is what we stand for. You're welcome to stop into our newly remodeled headquarters for a hello and a cup of coffee whenever you'd like.
